- Welcome to the AutoShare samples!

- If you would like to set up AutoShare quickly (sort of a
- right out of the box solution), the following shows you
- one way of doing so.
-
- 1. copy the AutoShare folder to your server's root folder
- 2. copy the Auto folder to your server's root folder
- 3. copy the AutoShare folder inside the Preferences folder
- to your server's System 7 savvy Preferences folder
- 4. start up AutoShare from the server
- a. from the Preferences menu, choose Miscellaneous and
- replace 'domain' of both addresses with your domain
- b. from the Preferences menu, choose Folders and
- replace 'Mac HD' with your startup disk name
- 5. start up MailShare from the server
- a. create an account entitled 'AutoReply', configure
- it as 'Saved as files' and specify the Filed Mail
- folder
- b. create an account entitled 'AutoShare', configure
- it as 'Saved as files' and specify the Filed Mail
- folder
- c. create an account entitled 'Fun-l', configure
- it as 'Saved as files' and specify the Filed Mail
- folder
- d. create an account entitled 'Fun-l.m', configure
- it as 'Mailing list' and specify the LS folder
- e. create an account entitled 'Fun-l.d', configure
- it as 'Mailing list' and specify the LS folder
- 6. from your user Mac
- a. send a mail to autoreply@<domain> and wait for a
- reponse to be returned to you
- b. send a mail to autoshare@<domain> with a subject/body
- of 'sub fun-l <your name>' and wait for a subscription
- confirmation to be returned to you
- c. mail a contribution to fun-l@<domain>
