  1. Welcome to the AutoShare samples!
  2.  
  3. If you would like to set up AutoShare quickly (sort of a
  4. right out of the box solution), the following shows you
  5. one way of doing so.
  6.  
  7. 1. copy the AutoShare folder to your server's root folder
  8. 2. copy the Auto folder to your server's root folder
  9. 3. copy the AutoShare folder inside the Preferences folder
  10.      to your server's System 7 savvy Preferences folder
  11. 4. start up AutoShare from the server
  12.     a. from the Preferences menu, choose Miscellaneous and
  13.        replace 'domain' of both addresses with your domain
  14.     b. from the Preferences menu, choose Folders and
  15.         replace 'Mac HD' with your startup disk name
  16. 5. start up MailShare from the server
  17.     a. create an account entitled 'AutoReply', configure
  18.        it as 'Saved as files' and specify the Filed Mail
  19.        folder
  20.     b. create an account entitled 'AutoShare', configure
  21.        it as 'Saved as files' and specify the Filed Mail
  22.        folder
  23.     c. create an account entitled 'Fun-l', configure
  24.        it as 'Saved as files' and specify the Filed Mail
  25.        folder
  26.     d. create an account entitled 'Fun-l.m', configure
  27.        it as 'Mailing list' and specify the LS folder
  28.     e. create an account entitled 'Fun-l.d', configure
  29.        it as 'Mailing list' and specify the LS folder
  30. 6. from your user Mac
  31.     a. send a mail to autoreply@<domain> and wait for a
  32.        reponse to be returned to you
  33.     b. send a mail to autoshare@<domain> with a subject/body
  34.         of 'sub fun-l <your name>' and wait for a subscription
  35.        confirmation to be returned to you
  36.     c. mail a contribution to fun-l@<domain>
